We’ve opened our newest depot in Newport, marking our first move into South Wales and a £1.6m investment into the local area.
Based at Queensway Meadows Industrial Estate, the new depot brings together a highly experienced team who have worked in the local market for over 20 years. Led by Depot Manager Martin Fanthorpe, the team has a strong reputation across South Wales, and we’re pleased to be supporting them with a new base and significant investment in fleet and infrastructure.
We’ve already begun building out a modern hire fleet across power tools, access equipment and survey equipment, ensuring strong availability for local construction businesses from day one. Alongside this, we’re continuing to grow the team and are currently recruiting for additional roles at the depot.
Our dedicated Lifting Division is also available to customers in the region, with LEEA-qualified engineers, a comprehensive lifting fleet and in-house systems to support testing, inspection and equipment management.
Newport is our third depot opening in three years, following our expansions into Bath and Bristol. It’s a natural next step for us. We’ve seen changes in the Welsh market in recent years, with fewer national suppliers operating locally, and we believe there’s a real opportunity to offer a reliable, well-supported hire service to businesses in the area.
