Alliance Tool Hire has strengthened its senior leadership team with three experienced industry appointments, as the construction rental business builds on its recent expansion into South Wales and prepares for its next stage of growth.
The business has appointed Ed Fell as Operations Director, John Hopkins as Regional Director for Wales and Stuart Williams as Business Development Manager at its Newport depot.
Ed joins Alliance after 20 years with HSS Hire, where he rose from Branch Manager to Managing Director for the South, leading a £90m turnover division including 10 distribution centres and additional merchant locations. He will lead operations across the Alliance depot network as the business continues to expand.
John brings more than 35 years of hire industry experience to the newly created role of Regional Director for Wales. Having started out as a delivery driver, he went on to hold senior positions including Sales Manager, Sales Director, Operations Director and Supply Chain Director, and will now lead the development of the Alliance business across Wales.
Stuart joins the Newport depot as Business Development Manager after almost a decade in the hire industry across South Wales, with Brandon Hire Station, Sunbelt Rentals and, most recently, Altrad Generation. He will work alongside Depot Manager Martin Fanthorpe and the Newport team to build relationships with construction businesses across the region.
The appointments follow the opening of the Newport depot in April, backed by a £1.6m investment over five years, and a further £100k spent on new delivery vehicles for the depot in June, as Alliance continues to invest in the Welsh construction market.
